Information for Prospective Rickshaw Drivers

Pedal Rickshaws have been in business in Denver since 1988. Our fleet includes state-of-the-art pedal cabs, making us Denver's best-equipped company offering pedicab services. All cabs feature the best equipment available for safety and comfort including running lights, safety belts, and canopies. We lease bike taxis to qualified, licensed and trained independent drivers on a daily, monthly or longer-term basis.

Rates
Rental rates range from $340 - $415 per month, depending on length of lease, or $25 - $75 per day, depending on the event or circumstances. Rentals are not available for partial days. Cancellation of a reservation can be done up to 24 hours ahead of time with no penalty.

Fares
Passenger fares average $1.50 to $2.00 per block for two people. It's not uncommon to make $15 - $30 or more per hour on most nights. Some nights are busier than others; that's part of the unpredictability of driving pedicabs. New drivers will find that other, more experienced pedicab drivers can suggest ways to "sell the ride" and increase income.

Requirements

  • Be 21 years old or older. Occasional exceptions may be made for drivers 18-20.
  • Possess a current valid Colorado Driver's License.

  • Reside in the Denver-Boulder metro area or within commuting distance.
  • Attend a 2-3 hour Pedicab Driver Training and Orientation.

What makes a successful pedicab driver?

What I like about driving a pedicab!

Does this sound interesting to you? If so (or if you have any questions), contact us to request an interview and a spot in the next training class, and get on the road to a fun, adventurous, silly, healthy, and often profitable activity. It's pretty cool to make money while you're having fun and working out, and showing others a good time.
